How to say "Good morning" in Korean
The natural way Koreans say "Good morning" — with the polite form, close alternatives, and audio for every line.

Literally: Good morning.
When to use it
Careful - this is a translation that caught on rather than a native greeting. Koreans mostly just say 안녕하세요 in the morning, or ask whether you slept well.
Polite form
- 좋은 아침입니다joeun achimimnidaUse this with strangers, anyone older than you, and at work.
Other ways to say it
- 잘 잤어?jal jasseo?= Did you sleep well?What people actually say to someone they live with.
- 안녕히 주무셨어요?annyeonghi jumusyeosseoyo?= Did you sleep well? (respectful)To parents or grandparents. The honorific verb for sleep.
